CHALLENGE

SUNY Old Westbury, a public college that is part of the State University of New York system, found itself struggling to find a human capital management (HCM) platform for their students and their employees that was reliable, accurate, and simple to use for all involved. The college’s new business manager Michael Castonguay called on Accu Data, having used our payroll and office management solutions during his tenures at Morey Organization and Anton Publishing.

SOLUTION

Accu Data instantly saw the need to move the college away from its manual HCM process, which was siloed and susceptible to human error, and to transition to an automated, cloud-based solution. This would allow students and employees, who spend most of their time on-the-go, to sign in, either through their mobile device or via computer. In addition, Accu Data installed a physical time-clock/fingerprint reader that works with the HCM software to create digital timesheets, resulting in a simpler, more efficient and more accurate payroll.

Throughout the conversion, Accu Data's support services were consistently onsite to oversee the transition and to answer any questions the college’s staff had.
